DIDO4 is the latest version of DIDO (v4). DIDO is a program that grabs digital audio directly off a CD without having to sample at all. If your CDROM supports direct reading of digital audio off a CDROM through MSCDEX's control then DIDO will work for you. (Yes it works with all Creative CDROM drives (untested on Creative's IDE drives)). DIDO works in Windows (WFW) 3.1(1) and Win95 as long as your CDROM drivers are loaded in autoexec.bat and config.sys so you might want to use multiboot if you are using Win95 in order to not load DOS CDROM drivers when you want to use Win95's 32bit CDROM drivers instead. The full source to DIDO4 is included and if anyone would like to rework and recompile it for Win95 without having to use DOS CDROM drivers then please send the comilation and source to daronm@onramp.net when you have things working properly. DID0 is written by Micheal Motoom, with his web page being at www.xs4all.net/~motoom. Currently DIDO4 is several months old and it appears that no one knew about it's presence except a handfull of people (if that many) so I'm finaly uploading to appropriate newsgroups and ftp sites.
