No, but his Dr Who volume is dire, full of inaccuracies and very much just
a list of stuff that happens. I don't imagine the B7 one will be any better

I've ordered mine from Amazon and they've emailed me to say it's been
dispatched, but it has not yet arrived.

I can never manage the right numbers of 'f's. I once went on for 236 before

I'd be interested to hear what you have to say, Ann.

Can be aimed at our already dead and buried VCR which used to eat tapes
which may account for the missing 1st half of Season One. That or
temporary insanity. I didn't know I'd move to a place that wouldn't run
B7! I also lost 2 years (viewing) of EastEnders episodes from mid '96
to June '98. My Maltese in-laws fill me in from memory since they watch
on BBC Prime which is current with the UK. (No fair! Why can't I get
KTEH up here? I'm even on the foothills and the general reception's
awful.) I'm surrounded by assassins, as my 11th grade Spanish teacher
used to say. :)

New York & Long Island have good PBS stations. I used to watch B7 and
Dr Who on WNYC ch 31 and WLIW ch 21 and I didn't need a cable
attachment. A weekly double dose was so fun even if it was in black +
white. (WNYC ran EastEnders too.) Paul Darrow used to do these cute
promos for ch 31's pledge drives, dressed as Avon and holding a phaser
saying you had to pledge to WNYC because, "there is no other choice."
He'd slowly point the phaser at the screen and do a trademark evil
grin. I wish I'd taped that! Any fellow NYers out there have it on
tape by any chance? It was ~1986 or 1987.

The funny thing with my tapes is I have "The Way Back" tacked on to the
end of Season Four. Hmmm.... Anyway, Joanne, don't sweat it. I'm
not. Life is weird, enjoy! (Maybe you can aim the grenades at AT+T
Cable Services for not including all the area's PBS stations on their
programming.)

I'm sorry to hear that, but other things are puzzling me...

<astonishment> You can say that again. FINALACT may dance in triumph - I
think I've been bitten by a Monty Python!

If you're planning on watching The Strangerers on Sky 1, please note that
Sheelgh Wells (who worked on it with Paul) tells us that the launch date has
been brought forward to Feb 1st.

Has anyone had a release date for the last B7 tape yet?

I'm looking for submissions for two new anthology zines, one gen, one
adult/slash.

Stories can be on any subject and focus on any character. I have a preference
for stories that take a new path and develop an original plot. In other words,
I like to be surprised. It could be a new look at a minor character, it could
be a new adventure for a main character.

Unless they are extremely well done, I'd rather avoid stories that retell an
existing episode. If you develop a new story, then you can add something new
and develop the character in different directions. To pick random examples -
suppose the characters had to climb a mountain or were stuck in solitary
confinement for a week, or had to organise a political rally or check a mine for
safety. What facets of the personalities would come to light?

While my favourite characters are Avon and Blake, I can think of times when I've
been totally absorbed by a story about Travis, or Jenna or Dayna (who are
usually close to the bottom). Above all else, I enjoy a well-told story.

I also like new looks at Federation society and technology. What is the
Federation like and how does it affect the lives of our heroes? What does the
future look like? I'll consider any development that doesn't actually
contradict what we see on screen.

There is no explicit deadline. It depends on when I have enough material to
fill a zine. Besides, my heath fluctuates a lot and this makes deadlines a bad
idea. However, I'd like material in the next few months if possible.

I prefer material in TEXT files if possible.

Adult and slash stories may range from stories where people only think about sex
to stories that get as explicit as you want. I'm very unlikely to reject a
story because of its content. What I'm after is stories that show me characters
I can recognise and have more to them than just a bedroom scene. I want to know
how these people interact, how they think, and why they do what they do.

I'm willing to help writers with regard to general writing technique. eg. point
of view, show not tell, character motivation, etc. (not everyone will need it,
of course) However, my ability to type comes and goes, so feedback can be
sporadic. Sometimes I talk into a cassette tape and post that. I've done this
with a couple of writers now and they seem to like it.

Anyone submitting three or more pages (in the final zine) will recieve a free
copy. Smaller amounts will get a copy at a reduced price.

I'll accept poetry (but if it doesn't scan, don't bother submitting it) humour,
serious work, long stories, short stories, traditonal stories, experimental
stories. Basically, I print what I like to read and that covers a fair range.

I also take artwork, but I like illustrations for specific stories rather than
generic illos, so contact me in advance if you're interested. I don't publish
nudes.

I look forward to hearing from you.
